The Style Approach is basically the way leadership do and how they.docxchristalgrieg
The Style Approach is basically the way leadership do and how they act toward their employees. In this approach Leaders are though with skills and abilities to basically get results. However, Style Situational Approach focuses on different kinds of situations that may take place and many need to be handle by management being flexible in their leading style when moving from one situations to another and how to adapt to anything that may come up in the workplace. I believe that in this both style and situational approaches can be used in many ways when dealing with leading a team. For one, the skills and the ability to influence the employees though t non-coercive means. As well as taking and factoring in time, place and circumstances within an organization (Hemphill & Coons, 1957, p.7).
The metaphor when dealing with both Style and Situational Approaches is the supportive, goal-focused, flexible, hands-on, or non-authoritarian. I found that when dealing leader should make sure that the metaphor fits and know the limits for this helps to identify and focus on the key qualities and values of the team.
The advantages and disadvantage of Style and Situational Approach in leadership to me is employees are still not given an opportunity to provide feedback or to suggest alternative methods for doing things. Also, the leaders do not truly lead they give the authority to an employee who has been hired to the same work as the other employees, creating a problem in the work place. Many time employees feel that not what they get paid for to do the management work. However, the leaders tend to take on too much work for themselves and refuse to delegate it out, making it difficult to finish it in a meanable time. I can understand assigning employees to help with the work load while the manager attends to other area that need their attention this would stop the stress level of management. But, I found that most of my co-workers who was managers put all the work on the employees. Leaving with nothing but time to roam a round the building or even setting in the office doing nothing. I believe that the best advantage for both approaches is training, easy to understand, helps leadership effectiveness and flexible and dependable when dealing with situations.
For example, working in the Metro State Prison both approach was used however, when using these approaches with inmates who is a ward of the state there is a very different outcome. When I arrive to work taking over a shift the inmates seem to be working well with my co- workers (Managers) in the morning shift but when I and two other managers arrive on the seen they tend to be Abrupt, Violent and Rebilling. This was so bad that one day rite broke out and we had to lock ourselves in the tool shield. However, to gain control write ups was issued and inmates locked down adding more time for then to remain in there. I fell like the Situational Approach worked best in this type of environment because as leade ...

Effects of unhealthy eating habits
Specific Aims
1). Concise statement of goals I would like to work with individuals experiencing health problems due to unhealthy eating habits, and inactivity. The purpose is to see if participants would agree to attend the program for 5 days to learn about healthy diet, food, exercise, food preparation, calorie count, and if they would use resources available to help them with their diet and exercise.
2). Novel Design
Chart #1: Displays the numbers of people eating fruits, vegetables, and consuming a low cal diet, vegetarians, dieters, unhealthy eaters
Chart #2: Displays the five categories that I will use to create manuals for participants to review to learn about the socio demographics, psychosocial knowledge and how beliefs attitudes and norms are part of self-efficacy and it establishes behavior patterns.
Per: Raghunathan, Rajagopal, et al. “The Unhealthy = Tasty Intuition and Its Effects on Taste Inferences, Enjoyment, and Choice of Food Products. “Journal of Marketing, vol.70, no. 4 (2006), pp. 170-184
3). solve a specific problem
I would like to design a comprehensive program on a community or state level that addresses poor eating habits, poor nutrition, and physical inactivity. Within the State of Maryland we have a large amount of chronic diseases and death per year due to the poor diets that people have become comfortable with, and the lack of physical activity which also contributes to the high rates of sugar diabetes, osteoporosis, obesity, and stroke. This is a serious matter when you think about it 1 out of 10 people suffer from one or more of the chronic diseases listed. I would like to have a facility where I can teaching people how to eat by using scales to measure the portion of meats, vegetables, fruits, measuring the amount of calories, carbohydrates, saturated fats, total fat, what foods to eat, how to prepare them. If I can encourage families to join us for a day to enjoy fun exercise activities, along with healthy meal made using fresh fruits and vegetables. Families will want to come again enthused to improve their dietary patterns and activities. Within this facility I would like a gym and track to allow them to exercise because this will boots their energy and if we meet with them three times a week to teach regular physical activity. The object is to show them how to improve their muscle strength and boost their endurance. The gym would afford them the resource needed to exercise. The exercise gives them great benefits to deliver oxygen and nutrients to their tissues and improve their cardiovascular system. The nutrition program and the exercise stem together would make this efficient. By showing participants end results that reflect a healthier heart and lung they will feel good an ...

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202
